Crystal Cave is in Moonlit Pines. From the farm, take the northeast path into the forest and look near Fiona's House. A large boulder blocks the entrance: use a Copper Pickaxe to break it. Bring an Iron Pickaxe as well, because the Rose Quartz and Moon Crystal nodes inside require it.

Moonlight Peaks saves at the end of the night when you return home and sleep in your coffin. The base game does not provide a manual Save and Quit button. If you close the game before sleeping, progress made during the current night may be lost, so finish at home before exiting.

Complete the A Bridge Too Far quest, then check your mail the following day for a letter from Ridge containing the Charcoal recipe. At a Furnace, process 1 standard Wood to make Charcoal. The ingredient must be the item named Wood; Dark Wood and Light Wood do not work for this recipe.
